CurveCube

/

August 26th, 2013

/ Manuel Kretzer

CurveCube is a very spontaneous proposal for a walk-through, human-scale pavilion made from corrugated cardboard.

The design connected two geometrical forms. Towards the outside it represented a closed cubic shape but merged into an organically appearing surface on the inside.

From the original project description (in german) “Architektonisch entsteht ein Spannungsfeld zwischen der Komplexität der Innenform im Kontrast zur formalen äusseren Kubatur in einem sich gegenseitig beeinflussenden und durchdringenden Formenspiel zwischen Klarheit und Vielschichtigkeit.”
